So, what precautions have you taken at your houses/construction sites for today and the coming days?

Work stoppage?
Or will the work continue as usual?

Although we have already finished building our house, we moved everything that is not anchored into the garage.
Hopefully, the bricks will stay in place with the clamps.

Strangely, the neighbors put up the entire scaffolding just last night because the workers will be roofing the house next week.. oops:
Not sure if that was a good idea.

"Dixi-kicking" – wasn’t that once a nasty prank played on unpopular people at construction sites? Unfortunately, it always hit the door...

Mid-90s at Rock am Ring was standard. Too little metal, too much alcohol

Conducted an inspection walk in the forest: no damage found (but they also have a protected location and no sick spruces, mostly beech and oak trees instead).

I was just out as well. Unfortunately – once again – many trees have fallen. After the drought and the beetle infestation, so much logging has already been done. Now there are storm damages again.
Although it always “only” affects the spruces, it's still sad that in places where there used to be dense forest, there are now large open spaces.
However, a large-scale reforestation project with deciduous trees is planned here in the spring. That is somewhat reassuring.

So now I unfortunately have to complain a bit. My portable toilet was stable, but the satellite dish got bent, so I need to install a new bracket...

Currently, bright sunshine and only light gusts remaining. The worst is over, and fortunately, nothing serious happened.

It’s just starting again here.

Our patio roof was destroyed. It was a temporary structure without panes, only a twig roof. It broke, and my husband had to take it down last night.
