So, what precautions have you taken at your houses/construction sites for today and the coming days?

Work stoppage?
Or will the work continue as usual?

Although we have already finished building our house, we moved everything that is not anchored into the garage.
Hopefully, the bricks will stay in place with the clamps.

Strangely, the neighbors put up the entire scaffolding just last night because the workers will be roofing the house next week.. oops:
Not sure if that was a good idea.

Anyone have an idea how to secure the portable toilet?
Drive steel rods 2m (6.5 ft) in front and behind, then strap a ratchet strap over it. For those who are extra cautious, do the same again in a cross pattern...

I’m taking the risk with the portable toilet. If it falls over, the area will just need to be washed down. There’s nothing nearby that could be seriously damaged by it.

The construction fence is additionally supported due to the last wind and because of the carnival parade that already took place.

Only the glass panels worry me. Depending on the wind direction, they present a large surface area to catch the wind. They are positioned at an angle in glass supports and are quite heavy. Nothing happened during the last storm. Hopefully, nothing will happen in the next few days either.

I think this is going to be bad...

Here in the Sauerland region, things are really starting to pick up. Many roads around here are already closed, and trees are falling again like matchsticks.
During the last major storm in spring 2018, the crane and our portable toilet were still on site. Everything went quite well back then. Today, I’m feeling quite uneasy...

During Kyrill, a lot was damaged in my "former house." Roof tiles were blown off even though they were all screwed down.

Now this is the first storm with a flat roof and large window areas. The satellite dish has already experienced some interruptions just now.
Hopefully, everything will be fine.

Our walls are currently being built. The walls are covered, with individual bricks placed on top as counterweights. However, I’m not sure if the wind might lift the coverings and cause the bricks to fall off...

In Rostock and Schwerin, it seems that the first portable toilets are already being thrown around.
