Hello everyone!
In my opinion, the plastering on our stairwell, as well as on some of our interior and exterior walls, is very poorly done (see pictures).
However, our construction company denies this.
Could you please give your assessment based on the pictures?
How would you handle this situation with the construction company?

Interior with rough wall texture, window on the left and open wooden shelf on the right.

Textured interior wall with uneven patches; window on the right shows garden and houses.

That's just what the DIN standard says... And it also specifies how uneven the plaster can be... which is quite a lot... at our place, the walls were so crooked that you couldn't even install baseboards properly... According to DIN: everything is fine.
Oh yes, our baseboards also stick out, and we simply filled the gaps with acrylic sealant.

This is how some of my first plastering attempts looked (sometimes even worse^^). Were these professionals, and if so, what had you agreed upon? Were the walls already very uneven beforehand?
I wouldn’t be satisfied with this either. Not if it was done by a professional and in a living area.

Yes, professionals did the work. The walls were uneven in some places or had grooves, but strangely the plastering turned out very well in some areas and not at all in others.

What quality level was agreed upon? Q2 or Q3? What did you order? @Sandra84?
Only Q2 was agreed, but it is quite noticeable that the unevenness is mainly in the most recently plastered rooms; even the basement rooms are plastered more neatly.

Q2? Really, then be glad, that is very, very smooth for Q2 :p

Top lighting is also grazing light. It must either be completely diffuse or come from the front.
A difference of more than one centimeter would already be significant. There is probably a standard for that, but unfortunately, I don’t know which one.

The light in our case comes from the front, since that’s where the windows are located, right? The entire stairwell is therefore illuminated by it.

For us, the light does come from the front in the stairwell.
The windows illuminate the entire staircase. And when I switch on the lamp, it actually looks even worse.

Only Q2 finish was agreed upon, but it is noticeable that the unevenness is mainly in the rooms plastered last; even the basement rooms have a nicer plaster finish.

I actually see only the option that you may have to negotiate additional payment (as a compromise) for further corrections. Because the company seems capable of good plastering in principle, given that some rooms are fine.

Were the same workers responsible throughout, or were the last rooms perhaps plastered by apprentices? I ask because that might be a useful argument for you.
