After our project breaking through and repairing the damaged areas didn’t work out satisfactorily (see here), we have now decided to refresh the entire wall.
So, we scraped off the paint from the whole plaster surface, which went relatively well.
Of course, the plaster is now slightly uneven... I estimate about 2-3mm (0.08-0.12 inches).
I would like to apply a fine textured render afterwards, so I can do the same in other places in the house – for example, when making cable channels for electric roller shutters.
What is the best way to prepare the plaster now? Presumably, it should be skim coated rather than simply sanded down?
Which material should be used here?
Thank you very much for your help!
