Hello everyone,
I am currently planning my electrical installation and wondering:
What is the easiest way to digitally monitor the electricity consumption of an entire house? Preferably with minute-by-minute accuracy. Can you recommend any hardware with an (open) interface? What I do not want is a smart meter that sends data directly to my electricity provider.
What do you use for your smart homes?
Best regards

Alternatively, a second meter can be installed after the utility provider’s meter. It can usually be fitted quite compactly into the electrical cabinet at first glance. I hope you understand that your own S0 meter will measure significantly different values compared to the provider’s meter. Standard S0 meters are designed only for specific types of loads. If your loads don’t match these specifications, your S0 meter is likely to give inaccurate readings. This is quite common in residential buildings. Utility meters are generally designed for a much wider range of loads and usually provide more accurate measurements. If you install your own sub-meter, make sure that inductive loads and loads from ballasts with dimmers are measured correctly.
Otherwise, search for "Smart Meter often measures incorrectly." This should help you understand the issue of differing measurement results when using two meters.

Is KNX involved? Then you could consider a meter from Lingg & Janke.
