Hello everyone,
we are switching from tiles to hardwood flooring and are looking for a suitable product.
We liked, for example, Villapark Oak Avena 35 or Faro Parquet 03 Trend XL white oiled from Bauwerk.
The selection is really difficult, but we prefer the white-oiled style the most.
However, hardwood floors are quite expensive in Switzerland. What should one roughly budget for a good floor? What should we pay attention to—oiled or sealed (we have
Do you know any suitable alternatives to the parquet options mentioned above? We live near the border with Germany, so pickup or delivery would not be a problem.
In Google searches, the company Planeo appears repeatedly—does anyone know it, and would you recommend Planeo?
Thanks a lot!

I recently saw a parquet flooring from Meisterboden that I really liked.
Meister Parquet Longlife PD400 Oak Authentic Cream 9010
What do you think about it? It says that they are normally installed as a floating floor (but gluing is also possible).
Current situation: tiles with underfloor heating and possibly cooling.
The plan is to remove the tiles and then glue down the parquet. The house will be empty. Is this a good idea? What are your experiences?

Take a look at Kährs parquet, country plank oak rustic white oiled – that might also be suitable.
We have it, and I enjoy the floor every day. It was about €55/sqm (around $60/sqft) at the time. However, we didn’t actually choose it based on price but on appearance and how much we liked it, and were happy that it wasn’t among the most expensive. That really fits the type I’m looking for! Do you have any real-life photos of the installed floor from your place?

Gerddieter15 Sep 2024 16:05We chose Villapark Avorio 35 brushed and oiled – best decision ever!
I would definitely do it again.
We ordered it directly through the floor installer for less than €80 (about $87) net. And on the upper floor the same type but with slightly smaller planks – which brings the average price down to €60 (about $65) per square meter.
We also had some other samples sent from the internet, but none of them were any good.
And the installation price was very fair – nowhere near the €80 (about $87) mentioned here.

Purchased directly from the flooring installer for under €80 (net). For the upper floor, the same version but with slightly narrower planks – this lowers the average price to €60 per m² (per square meter).
We also ordered various other samples online, but none were satisfactory.
Installation price was more than fair – well below the €80 mentioned here. We also looked at Avorio – it was among the top 3 options from Bauwerk.
Do you have any photos of it installed at your home?
