ᐅ Gap forming between linoleum and engineered wood flooring joints

Hello
I have a question.
My linoleum engineered flooring is lifting over a length of 10 cm (4 inches) and a width of about 5 mm (0.2 inches) in a joint area of the substrate due to water exposure. In this joint area, the linoleum is raised about 1 mm (0.04 inches).
Is there a special adhesive I can use to reattach the damaged area and also seal the gap of approximately 1 mm (0.04 inches)?
Thank you in advance for your help.

I recently experienced the same issue. The joint had come loose and was sticking up. We also didn’t have any water damage, or at least we didn’t notice any. I then got a special adhesive and applied it into the joint. So far, it’s holding.

Moisture can become a problem quickly. Especially during wet weather, moisture is often carried into the house on shoes. Therefore, the joint, which was just under 3mm (0.12 inches), was welded shut. This way, it is definitely sealed now. We don’t mind that it is now visible.

Yes, I had this problem as well. No one could explain how this joint rose like that. Everything was dry, and there was no water exposure. It could only have come from wet shoes. I then sealed this joint by welding, and since then everything has been perfect.
