Bought a house, estimated the renovation budget plus 10-15% for inevitable extras, and we set aside 5000 EUR for the kitchen!!!!
That’s how it started... at first, I was in a bit of shock, but we still had time. First step: remove all the walls for a new layout—I need space...
Let’s start with the (according to the agent) move-in ready property. The small kitchen, just under 8 square meters (about 86 square feet), had its 1970s pass-through removed. The wall including the kitchen door is gone! The wall next to the cellar stairs is gone too! Actually, the entire slanted wall, nearly 7 meters (23 feet) high, removed completely...
The window had to go as well since we needed a different working height than the standard 90 cm (35 inches). New screed installed, we switched to underfloor heating, all electrical wiring and water pipes are new.
After almost six months, the realization slowly sank in: the kitchen budget will not exceed 5000 EUR, so we had to look for a used kitchen... something special, but very cheap.
The search criteria: within a 100 km (62 miles) radius, up to 1000 EUR, because I still want new appliances.

Between the stove and the sink, there is a triple outlet strip, of which only two are free. That is somewhat insufficient.
On the countertop, there are a total of four outlets, but not all are ever used. I would therefore redesign this in a new kitchen.
For someone with more electrical appliances, 20 outlet points actually sound like a reasonable amount.

When planning the kitchen outlets, I marked the intended cabinets on the walls with chalk. My partner then took chalk as well and marked where the outlets should go. The result: there will probably be around 30 outlets in total. This includes outlets above the wall cabinets, for (Christmas night) decorations *laugh*.
It is important to me that I don’t have to keep plugging and unplugging devices or have cables running across the countertop. Especially for the appliances that are usually stored in the cabinets and only taken out occasionally, I want to be “mobile”: electric grill plate, wok, waffle iron, popcorn maker (for bird food…), canning pot, hand mixer, immersion blender, coffee grinder, chopper.

Chand, what do you mean by dz.?
Also, count the sockets for the oven, dishwasher, and so on. Those are still missing. No, those are included. I have 2 sets of 3 plus 2 single outlets available, totaling 8. Of those, 2 are permanently in use (washing machine, coffee grinder).
