So, I'm starting a new topic here to avoid overloading the house pictures thread.
I find the sliding doors for ovens quite interesting – but do they really offer any added value? I was also surprised to read that ovens now seem to be adopting a feature I dislike in microwaves: instead of setting temperature and possibly time, you input the "dimensions" of the food?! What is that supposed to achieve?! Personally, I think it’s terrible.

3.) Nursing home: exaggerated, majority of the recipes are good. The nursing home comment came from a consultant (I have only limited experience with the meals). She herself said that the seasoning is somewhat lacking. You really need to adjust the spices yourself based on your own experience.
I also find that when I made the broccoli salad once (without the TM), I had to add extra seasoning because it was very... bland...

chand198629 Sep 2018 23:29I’m familiar with the famous broccoli salad, which is very simple: it just needs 1.5 teaspoons of vinegar and a pinch of salt.
But between us: it’s one of the weaker TM recipes. Even with what’s already there, there’s room for improvement.
Have you ever made a zabaglione?

It’s missing 1.5 teaspoons of vinegar and a pinch of salt.Cool, I’ve never measured vinegar or salt, just put a bit in the palm of my hand. But thanks for the tip. I probably seasoned it accordingly, though I don’t really remember.

Personal example: I use the TM as a coffee maker for gatherings.
I know the right ratio of coffee grounds quantity and grind size, extraction time, and water temperature. With a large, fine-mesh tea infuser, 94°C (201°F), and x minutes, you can make liters of top-quality coffee. That really makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Still, it’s simply too expensive as a tool! An iPhone is also too expensive. Although I completely agree with you about the TM, I would like to slightly disagree here because whether something is too expensive or not, be it the TM, an iPhone, or a visit to a fine dining restaurant, is actually very subjective, isn’t it?
It depends on the available budget, usage profile, and individual requirements for the device, in my opinion. Regarding the TM: it’s too expensive for me because I dislike assisted cooking and a fully planned cooking process. I enjoy cooking, so I don’t need everything to be meticulously planned to make the most of the TM as a tool. That just isn’t my use case. But for others, it might be completely different. Same goes for the iPhone: unpack it, turn it on, and it works. It integrates smoothly into the Apple ecosystem. For me, it’s a workhorse that saves me a lot of time. I don’t experience the limitations it might have compared to an Android device. I’ve never felt the need to root it, access the file system directly, or anything like that. It just runs and runs and runs—and I like how it looks, too. My SE cost about 400€ (around 430 USD), which I consider absolutely worth it. Of course, someone else might see it differently. And whether there’s an apple logo on the back doesn’t matter to me at all, since it’s always in a case anyway, so you can’t see it...
