reeneexHello,
we are urgently looking for an affordable model of a ceiling-mounted island range hood, ideally up to around 500€.
I am 1.94m (6 ft 4 in) tall, so the usual hoods don’t really fit well. 😉
The room size is 4.50m x 3.50m x 2.50m (15 ft x 11.5 ft x 8 ft), so about 40m³ (1,400 ft³).
The kitchen is open to the hallway (with a swinging door), and there are two windows. One window has the connection for the range hood so it can start automatically.
We have access to the stove vent in the kitchen, so ducted ventilation is possible. In an emergency, I could also open a wall to the outside for a small exhaust outlet.
The cooktop below is ceramic glass, 80cm (31.5 inches) wide, with 5 cooking zones. Cooking is done only on one side; the other side has a sort of small bar about 30cm (12 inches) higher.
The hood can be angled on one side or both sides.
If nothing like this exists, does anyone have an idea for a small artificial wall hanging from the ceiling?
The ceiling will be lowered using drywall (gypsum board) panels. Final height about 2.42m (7 ft 11 in).
The original ceiling is from an older building. Suspension is planned on joists spaced 60cm (24 inches) apart.
We look forward to tips, links, and recommendations, preferably from “reliable” manufacturers 😉
Happy Easter
