Hello everyone,

I’m about to start lightly sanding and painting my wooden windows.

I chose the color Palisander, which exactly matches the color on the lid, matching my window color. When I opened the can (see photos), the color looked much lighter. Once applied, it actually looks almost orange.

Question:

Will the color darken over time, or did I receive the wrong can?

Thanks!

Nothing here darkens over time.
But you should give the color pigments a good stir—have you done that?
A glaze is always lighter and is only intended as a color refresher. Maybe a tinted varnish would be better for a more opaque coat?

Paint oil. Owatrol, for example. Stirring is a good idea. A very good idea!
