KonstantinW9 Feb 2021 22:19Hello everyone,
here is the situation..
The fencing regulations in our development specify a maximum height of 0.80m (0.8 feet) for my property (purple boundary).
However, this means that the entire side (red marking) would theoretically remain open, providing an unobstructed view into my garden.
Is there any way to have privacy screening there without having to maintain a 5.0m (16.4 feet) distance from the street?
Development Plan:
Fencing
Along public roadways, fencing is only permitted up to a maximum height of 0.80m (0.8 feet).
The same applies to the adjacent property areas up to the front building line, but no closer than 5.0m (16.4 feet) from the roadway.
Thanks in advance.

The flower makes the garden – not the fence 😎
Plant a hedge or something similar and wait until the housing development has settled in? If the greenery looks nice and grows well, hopefully no one will mind. And until then, you’ll get to know your neighbors and the street life 😉

I don’t see any judge disputing if you, as probably intended, install a fence 0.80m (2.6 feet) high in front instead.https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/

Is there also a protected area there, for example a terrace, or just a “border strip”?
Terraces should be equipped with privacy screens or planting close by, as protection works best when it is near. For children’s play areas, it hardly matters whether they are visible or not.
In the unique corner location, at least you’ll get a chance to talk with the neighbors 🙂
Otherwise, there probably isn’t any other solution.
