ᐅ Is Priming Necessary?

Hello,

In 6 to 8 weeks, we will start tiling and wallpapering in our house. Now, I plan to prime all ceilings, walls, and floors that will be tiled or wallpapered with the bonding and protective primer PCI Gisogrund. Some say that simply applying paste to the walls and ceilings is enough and that priming is not necessary when tiling.

The entire house has underfloor heating, and the walls and ceilings are plastered.

I would like to hear your opinions on this.

I have never heard of using a primer before tiling!
I didn’t do that either back then (tiles covering 50sqm (538 sq ft) are still holding up after 14 years 🙂)

Just did a quick search; your mixture is used for adhesive residue!
