Hello everyone,

In our new build, we have wireless switches for lights and blinds, which are controlled via Eltako relays. I understand that these switches or the entire system can somehow be integrated into a network. The question is how to do this and which components are needed?

Could someone here possibly help me with that?

Best regards,
Tobi

You need a central system such as openhab, iobroker, etc., which then manages your switches and other components.

What would be the best option in terms of price and performance?

Do you use any wired standard like KNX?
If not, you might want to check out ready-made gateways such as Zipabox with an EnOcean extension or the mediola gateway. Homee (or Afriso) would probably be my personal favorite, but as far as I know, they currently (still) don’t have Eltako devices on their compatibility list.

If you are interested in DIY, a Raspberry Pi with suitable software (mentioned by Mycraft) also works.

Edit:

In terms of price/performance, I’d say a Raspberry Pi with an EnOcean extension and free software like openHAB or ioBroker. Ready-made gateways start at around 200 euros.

Since I plan to do the same but across multiple floors (thanks to concrete): what would be the cheapest EnOcean gateway—meaning no logic, just forwarding to the central HomeAssistant server?

Probably an EnOcean repeater like the Eltako FRP70V.
