Is the drywall contractor allowed to install the wiring for 24-volt LEDs themselves, or does this have to be done by the electrician?
Many drywall contractors install ceilings and walls with LED strips that operate at 24 volts. Who is allowed to run the cables to a central distribution panel where the power supplies are located?
Is this work reserved for the electrician only, or can the drywall contractor also do it? The electrician then installs the wiring from the power supplies, which are housed in a central location, to the distribution cabinet.

Yes, he is allowed to do that with up to 25V AC voltage without additional training.

No professional electrician training is required for working on SELV installations. However, the person should still know how to wire the cables properly. 😉
