Hello,
we are considering building an extension. However, at the planned location there is currently an inspection shaft including a drainage pump under the existing terrace. Now, the fundamental question: Is it realistic to move this shaft several meters to the side, and what would something like that cost? Setting aside the dismantling of the terrace, this concerns only relocating the shaft and possibly repositioning the pipes.
We are wondering whether we should continue pursuing the extension at all or if the shaft’s current position is already a deal-breaker.
Which type of specialist trade would be able to provide a more precise answer, or is this a question for the local authority (building permit / planning permission office)?
Thank you very much and best regards,
Frank
