Hello dear forum,

we are currently planning our house. Among other things, we had some difficulty designing our bathroom. Attached is the current floor plan. Do you have any suggestions or tips?

The shower will be flush with the floor – is 110cm (43 inches) enough here? Possibly regarding any "flooding" while showering? :-)

Thanks in advance and best regards,
Bastian

I find it quite unpleasant that when the bathroom door is not fully closed, the view always falls on the toilet...

Recently, I faced the same question regarding the shower and increased the size from 1.00 x 1.00 meters to 1.20 x 1.00 meters (3.9 x 3.3 feet) during the shell construction phase. I think this size will just about work if I want to avoid using a shower door. If no shower door is going to be installed later, try to make the shower a bit larger. The fixtures could theoretically be swapped around as well—putting the bathtub where the shower and toilet are, and vice versa—depending on what fits better.

Hello,

I think there will be splashes reaching the bathtub here.

I would recommend moving the shower all the way forward to the wall next to the door, keeping the side entrance, and building a nearly full-height wall between the shower and the adjacent toilet.

Then change the door swing to the other side so that the bathroom door opens against the built shower wall.

Regards,

Dirk

Hello,
I completely agree with @Doc.Schnaggls.
I would also find it unpleasant that the first thing you see is the toilet.
The shower is actually almost 1.80 m long (110 + 68.5 cm) around the corner from the entrance. There will probably be some splashing on the bathtub, but that shouldn’t be a problem.

You could try Dirk’s suggestion in a bathroom planner and see the result for yourself.
