ᐅ Ikea Galant Mobile Pedestal Conversion – But How?

Hello everyone,

For the past two days, I have been the proud owner of a galant mobile pedestal.

However, I want to place it to the left of my desk instead of the right, as originally intended. As a result, the white side panel (see picture) is on the wrong side. Turning the white screws didn’t help, nor did searching on the IKEA website, since my pedestal seems to be discontinued.

Now I’m asking for help to solve this problem—maybe there’s a simple trick or something 🙂

I am not familiar with the specific Galant container. On archive.org, you can find archived pages from Ikea Germany, including assembly instructions. If you have an approximate idea of the year the container is from, you can search there more precisely.

The problem is that I bought the mobile drawer unit second-hand, and the sticker with the serial number was removed, making it very difficult to search for it :/
