Hi,

I have a somewhat different question. We are currently building our house and I would like to know how long you think it might take until we can move in.

What still needs to be done:
  • Floor insulation plus screed
  • Roof insulation
  • Installing water pipes (potable water and wastewater pipes inside the house)
  • Installing radiators and connecting the pipes
  • Fitting switches and outlets onto the empty boxes
  • Tiling, laminate flooring, wallpapering, installing the kitchen, furnishing the bathroom and guest toilet
  • Installing interior doors

We are having the screed and all the tiling done professionally, as well as fitting the switches and outlets and wallpapering/painting.
The interior plastering will be finished today (only the door frames are missing).
The exterior plastering is complete. Insulation for the floor in the kitchen and living room is already in place, as are the radiators for these two rooms; only the screed is still missing.

We are doing the rest ourselves, meaning almost every day this week someone is working from early till late on the house, plus some work on the weekend.

Ground floor area about 120m² (1290 sq ft) with 1 living room, 1 kitchen, 1 utility room, 1 guest toilet, 2 children’s rooms, 1 bedroom.

House: one and a half stories.

How long do you think it will approximately take?
