ᐅ How long did your construction take from groundbreaking to moving in? (Solid construction)

At the end of March, the excavator arrived; the roof was covered by early June; the screed was laid in early October, and handover took place on December 18.

Performed own work over the holidays and stayed overnight in the house for the first time on January 6. Oh, and it has a basement.

but without major self-work, right? Especially the 8 months from @fragg are quite impressive for a solid construction with a basement.

The excavator arrived in mid-April, and we moved in on February 8. The work we did ourselves was the usual: laying floors, finishing walls and ceilings starting from Q2 (we wallpapered one room, plastered the rest).

Almost exactly 16 months.

Direct contracting entirely managed by ourselves, except for the shell construction, which was done by the architect.

A lot of work was done by ourselves, and then we had almost a 4-week forced pause because the concrete plant had 2 equipment failures and could not deliver our precast hollow-core slabs for the upper floor on time.

Basically just the floors (50 m2 (540 sq ft) each of tiles and wooden planks, and 30 m2 (320 sq ft) of rubber flooring), some painting in the basement, and the first half of the kitchen installed.

After moving in, however, there were still three weekends dedicated to renovating the old apartment...

I wouldn’t call it that extreme. Groundbreaking was at the end of February, moving in by mid-October. Basement, solid construction. Including about 6 weeks of downtime due to issues with coordinating multiple utility connections and the subsequent summer holidays. There definitely was some room to speed things up. The team from @goalkeeper is also setting a good pace.
