Hello everyone,

I’m curious about the dimensions (length and width) of your lawn area.

I’m currently considering how much lawn space makes sense and how much can be taken away for patio, planting, etc., while still leaving a good area for playing football and similar activities.

Thanks

Nothing. No lawn.

We’re going to start by laying down grass over about 700m² (7500 sq ft) of the 1000m² (11000 sq ft) plot. It’s tough work, and the bigger the area, the easier it is to use machines to get the job done. Once everything is leveled and the grass is established, I can start thinking about the playhouse, pool, and trees/flower beds. Using a tiller and roller in circles around the trees is a hassle, so it’s better to do everything properly once and then continue from there.

A consistent approach, which we also took in 2001 with our last house. It was worth it.

We have a 21m by 16m (69ft by 52ft) lawn area, with the back 4-5m (13-16ft) reserved for a trampoline, climbing frame, etc.

On the approximately 15m by 15m (49ft by 49ft) space, you can play small-sided soccer really well, usually playing across the width of the house.
