Hello, I noticed the following on my house today (6 years old). Is this mold? Does it need to be removed?

Close-up of a damaged concrete foundation: peeling plaster, cracks, and gravel on the ground.

Corner exterior wall with rough white plaster, black door frame, and gray paving stones.

I don't see any mold in the pictures, only that the paint or plaster is peeling. The wall is probably damp, for some reason...

What can be done about dampness?

Drying

It looks like moisture is rising from below. So, dig around and check. Once you identify the cause, fix the problem, for example, by renewing the waterproofing.

Ok, thanks. Is this a complicated process? Remove the stones, dig, install a dimpled membrane, and that’s it?

No, unfortunately it’s not that simple. Take a look at "basement waterproofing" and "seal coating."
