Now here comes probably the silliest question of the day. Is it possible to build something on, for example, 1m² (11ft²), fill it with soil, and then sprinkle grass seed on it so that grass will grow there? Or does it need so much sunlight that it wouldn’t work at all? I love experiments like this, and my apartment definitely stands out from the others. 😀

Hello,
I don’t think the question is silly, as I have thought about that myself. But if you imagine how it would work in practice, it’s not that simple. How would you prevent walkways from forming, since people have to walk on the lawn? Also, it would be very difficult, especially if you have to water it as well!

Hi,
I think the idea is great. At first, I thought you wanted to cover the entire floor, but just one square meter (about 10.8 square feet) will definitely look fantastic! You should make sure that the seed you use is suitable for shade, so you have a better chance that it will grow well and not just create a sparse patch of grass.

Hi,
the idea isn’t bad, but what about mowing? If you set up something like that, the lawn will need to be mowed once a week. How is that supposed to work? I imagine it would be very tedious if you want to do it all by hand, and it will never be as even as when you cut it with a lawn mower.

hi

I think it’s a great idea, but honestly, I can’t imagine it in my living room. I think our cat would always be lying there. Also, I believe there could be problems with mowing or lawn cutting. But if someone likes it and can manage it, I think it’s a unique concept.
