Hello everyone,
We are planning to build a one-and-a-half-story single-family house. The plot faces southwest and has an area of 488 m² (5253 sq ft). Its dimensions are 15.15 x 32.15 m (50 x 105 ft). The house would be positioned so that the gable end faces the street.
I would appreciate some initial feedback on the floor plan.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards from the Rhineland.

Thank you for the suggestions. The pantry was requested by my wife. However, its location can still be changed. The kitchen itself was just a placeholder; it will be planned in detail once the room dimensions are finalized. Then it will be decided whether a kitchen island makes sense, and if so, it would of course need to be designed deeper.
Regarding the storage room, the idea is to have 1–2 meters (3–6 feet) of wardrobe space at the back, followed by a wall, with the door integrated into the taller staircase section. It might be worth considering placing the guest toilet on the other side, in front of the kitchen, which would allow for a slightly smaller and open kitchen. This would create more space for the utility room.
Is it possible to install the gas boiler and the water heater in the attic?
