Hello,
I have a question for the electrical experts here.
For our single-family house, we have just received a final invoice with a measurement calculation. We can count all the sockets, switches, etc., but we’re a bit uncertain about the electrical installation conduits, as these are embedded in the screed or ceiling.
Two different types of conduits were installed to protect the cables:
One is the black FBY-EL/ELY, which runs on the raw floor and is now embedded in the screed. They listed 280 meters (about 920 feet) of this pipe.
The other is the gray FFKuS-EM-F/ESPM, which is more durable and, according to the manufacturer, suitable for installation in concrete—so in the ceilings.
I could roughly verify the black conduits on the raw floor; they approximately match the 280 meters (about 920 feet) listed. However, I’m having some trouble with the gray conduits. They listed 487 meters (about 1,600 feet) of these. Is that much cable (in conduits) really installed inside the ceilings? Most of the conduits actually ran vertically through openings between floors but were not laid inside the ceilings themselves. Also, very few cables emerged directly from the gray conduits embedded in the concrete.
Or am I missing something? I would have expected to see many more gray FFKuS conduits coming out of the ceilings with that quantity listed.
