ronja200214 Jul 2010 17:36Hello 🙂
We have very tall windows in our living room, some of which face south. It gets really hard to tolerate the heat. We always close our curtains (of course IKEA), but they’re not very effective. Unfortunately, I don’t remember which model is currently hanging in front of our windows.
In the children’s room, we have a light gray blackout curtain from IKEA—I can’t recall the name right now either. It’s light gray, slightly textured, with a lightweight fabric that blocks light very well. It’s cooler in there, though I can’t say for sure if that’s because of the curtain.
Can anyone recommend a curtain for our living room that helps block the heat? Ideally, it should still let some light through (I don’t want to sit in complete darkness 😱 ).
Thanks for ideas and suggestions (and if possible by Friday, since a friend is going to IKEA then and could bring some for me 😉 ).
Best regards,
ronja

Denise_516815 Jul 2010 08:58I’m familiar with that problem too... We got the Enje roller blinds, which are really great... Ikea also offers these roller blind brackets that clamp directly onto the window frame, so you don’t have to drill.
I’m not experienced with curtains.
