Hello,

in our house (built in 2011), almost all the silicone joints (transition from tiles to baseboard) have cracked.
The construction period of the house was almost exactly six months, and the joints were completed during this time.
Are there any tolerance standards for this, or is this generally considered a defect?
The cracks vary in width, ranging from half a millimeter to several millimeters.

This is not a defect; if you check your original construction contract or the associated specifications (BB), you will most likely find an exclusion regarding joints.

Insulation and screed settle over time; unfortunately, this cannot be avoided. It would be advisable to seal this joint only after several months, but due to the short construction schedules, this is usually not feasible.

What has become of it? Have the cracks gotten bigger, or have they stayed the same?
