Hello everyone, we are planning to get a garden shed this year. Since we still have over 200 roof tiles left from building our house, we are considering covering the garden shed roof with these tiles. What should we keep in mind? Do you have any experience with this? We are thinking of a garden shed measuring 3.33 x 3.10 meters (11 x 10 feet). The side walls are 28 mm (1.1 inches) thick. I don’t know the roof pitch yet, but it is very shallow (according to the catalog image). It is a gable roof. What needs to be considered here?

The roof pitch is crucial to prevent water or snow from getting under the tiles. You are really overdoing it with the rafters. For a static rafter length of 1.8 m (5.9 ft), roof trusses made from boards are more advisable here.
I have checked our roof tiles. They are Braas Rubin 13V. The manufacturer specifies a minimum roof pitch of 16 degrees for these. The garden house we are interested in has a roof pitch of 19 degrees, so that should be fine.
I was thinking of reinforcing the garden house initially against unfolding like a shoebox by using a crisscross metal strap. I planned to support the main roof beam from below.
So, would you replace the individual rafters and also space them closer together?
