Biaggi05026 Jul 2016 10:37Hello!
I have a question about garage doors: I would like to replace my old tilt-up door with a sectional door. Does the new door usually go exactly where the old one was, and is it typically installed inside the garage? In other words, will I need to apply new plaster and paint afterward?
Thanks!
Best regards, Thomas

Doc.Schnaggls26 Jul 2016 16:45That entirely depends on the quality of the workmanship.
At my parents' house, the old swinging gates including the frames were removed, and the new sectional doors along with the guide rails were installed directly behind the existing opening.
No plastering work was necessary.
