Hello everyone,
who has experience with the combination of a centralized mechanical ventilation system, a fireplace, and an exhaust hood for the kitchen?
Is that generally possible?
Currently, we have an exhaust hood and a fireplace, and we only needed to install a contact switch on the window so that the exhaust hood only operates when the window is tilted open.
What additional measures would be required with a mechanical ventilation system?

However, when it comes to exhaust ventilation, such as for a range hood, and general ventilation, you will need to consult the district chimney sweep inspector.

Regarding the exhaust hood and ventilation, you will likely need to involve the local master chimney sweep. I have contacted him by email and am just waiting to see if I get any information. Otherwise, I’ll just call next week 🙂

There are certainly similar KNX components that make this possible. With KNX, a task like this is a training exercise, requiring virtually no devices—just a free input and output somewhere. You come up with the logic… which is included everywhere anyway.Nice-Nofret schrieb:
But doesn’t everything have to be maintained regularly then? No, it doesn’t have to. Electronics are generally maintenance-free.Tolentino schrieb:
What will all the chimney sweeps do once there are only heat pumps?Maybe our grandchildren will see that… though that’s doubtful. There will still be many properties for a very long time that aren’t really economical to heat with heat pumps.Similar topics
