Hello and good evening everyone,
I wanted to ask the group about the electrical connections you have installed or planned for the front yard area and those facing the garden.
For the front yard, I am currently considering only a single switchable power line for lighting, such as illuminated flower beds and/or pathway lighting. On the other side of the house, facing the garden, I am thinking of installing a switchable power line for lighting as well as a separate power line with a higher capacity to supply a potential garden shed, where several devices (refrigerator, TV, or whatever) might be connected. Additionally, there would be outdoor outlets directly on the house wall facing the garden—but how many would be sensible?
How have you set this up?

For water connections, I would plan as follows:
- Where people like to spend time
- Where DIY or crafting activities take place
- Where electrically powered garden tools will be connected
- Where other special uses require electricity
For water connections, I would plan as follows:
- Garden areas with good access (possibly multiple locations)
- Driveways and paved surfaces with good access
- Where you might want to rinse something before bringing it into the house

Yes, you can never have enough outdoor power outlets.
In the carport:
4x 220V outlets, 1x 32A three-phase socket
In the tool shed, outlets for various purposes
On the terrace: 2x 220V outlets
In the garden: 5x 2.5 mm² wiring for lights, garden irrigation, and similar uses
At the front gate/entrance: also 5x 2.5 mm² wiring for gate control, lights, etc. That sums it up perfectly!Similar topics
