Hello everyone,

I have almost completely assembled an Ikea kitchen and now I’m facing questions about the proper connection of the electrical appliances and the gas cooktop.

Specifically, I have the following questions:
- Is it allowed for the gas line from the cooktop and the electrical cables for the cooktop and electric oven to run right next to each other? (I need to route them through an opening between the cabinets.) Alternatively, I could drill a second hole between the cabinets.
- Am I allowed to connect the gas cooktop myself, or is that prohibited? (For example, for insurance reasons)
- Can the dishwasher be plugged into an outlet under the sink, or is that best avoided?
- Can I connect any devices to the high-voltage / three-phase electrical supply? It should have three phases. Is there any reason not to connect the cooktop, electric oven, and a pop-up power strip to it?

Thanks in advance for the answers! As you can tell from the questions, this is the first kitchen I am assembling myself =)

Hello,
the gas connection should be installed by a certified gas technician. This is less about insurance and more about protecting your own life and that of others in the house. You are only allowed to connect the cooktop yourself if there is a gas outlet (gas socket) and the cooktop is already supplied with a fitted connection hose for the gas outlet and a grounded plug (Schuko plug).
Basically, the device connection can be divided into three separate circuits. This is work for an electrician who knows which regulations need to be followed.
The dishwasher can be connected to the outlet inside the sink cabinet. If the electrician is already in the house, they can take a look and consider the specific conditions on site.
