Hello everyone,

We are now ready to order our windows.
We are still undecided between RAL 7016 and DB703 for the color. Also, we’re not sure whether to choose a smooth or textured foil finish. Apparently, the smooth finish can be quite sensitive.
What color and type of finish do you have, and what has been your experience with them?

Since we will be using external venetian blinds, the color of the slats is also still under discussion.
We are debating between white aluminum and gray aluminum. What color do you have for your blinds?

A few photos of window and slat colors on your houses would be great.

Thank you

You need to decide which color you want. For inspiration, you can visit new housing developments. This afternoon would have been ideal—first, drive around a few new housing areas, then go for coffee.

Believe it or not, we have done this several times already.
However, the lady’s decisiveness leaves something to be desired.

What new insights are you hoping to gain here? White is the standard and most common choice because it is usually the most affordable. Anthracite is trendy right now and many people choose it as well. If you know the additional cost for a color other than white, you have to consider whether that extra expense is worth it for you. You can see what you get in new housing developments quite clearly.

Whether to choose a color that comes with an extra charge, and if so, which one, also depends heavily on the color of the brickwork or exterior render. For example, white render with white windows probably doesn’t look very appealing.

We ordered basalt gray windows and the roller shutters including the guide rails in the same color.

I would go with the DB tone – it looks great. But it is more expensive, especially if you want the front door and garage door in that color as well.

I wouldn’t choose anthracite just because it’s supposedly the in-color… better to go with white then.

Keep in mind that dark colors look good but also heat up more.
Regarding the surface of the garage door, we opted against a smooth finish because scratches are very difficult to repair.
