Hello

I would like to install engineered wood flooring. It should be laid as a floating floor. What type of joint do professionals recommend for floating installation? Depending on the supplier and product, you sometimes only get one option or the other, not always both.

Which type, that is click-lock or tongue-and-groove, is used in which situations?

Thank you in advance,
Colo

Today, click-lock parquet is mostly preferred for floating installation. However, for floating installation, a 3-layer construction is necessary in any case. Therefore, 3-layer tongue-and-groove flooring is certainly feasible, but it is less commonly chosen nowadays.
