Benny150125 Sep 2016 08:43Hello,
we are about to start installing our cistern soon. We have planned a 6000-liter (1585-gallon) cistern. Originally, we intended to use it for garden irrigation only. However, we have now changed our plans and want to also use it for the toilets.
Therefore, I am currently looking for a domestic water system that can refill with fresh water. Unfortunately, I haven’t found many reliable reviews about which systems work well. Since I don’t want to buy just any low-quality product, I would be very grateful to receive some user experiences.
Thank you very much.

First, a separate line or some other modification would need to be installed for the toilet, depending on your setup. Additionally, you would require extra water meters. If I understand correctly, in our case, two additional certified meters would be needed. These would have to be purchased at your own expense and replaced regularly. And all this just to save less than €2 per m³ (price in our area). Whether it’s worth it for you is something you’ll have to decide yourself.
