Hello,

Our painter suggested applying Caparol Premium Clean on the walls in the hallway. This paint is supposed to make it easy to wipe off stains and marks from the walls. Considering future children and myself, I can see the benefits, but our hallway and stairwell area is large, and the paint is not inexpensive. Does anyone have experience with this or similar paints?

In the kitchen and bathrooms, we used Sto Opticryl, satin matte. Washable. But: you seal off the wall. Therefore, it needs to be thoroughly dry during painting, otherwise there will be problems. Karsten

Whereas Opticryl, unlike Carparol paint, is a true latex paint, right?

No, acrylic paint. I don’t know of any company that still processes real rubber tree latex. Karsten

I meant that Carparol's paint is not a latex paint but is vapor-permeable.

Okay. Those are acrylic paints only to a very limited extent. I'm curious what trick Caparol will use to make it washable.
