Hello,
Since we are currently completely renovating our bathroom and planning for screed plus a walk-in shower, we are also considering turning the 1.50-meter (5 feet) large shower into a steam bath. We have seen ready-made steam cabins, but we prefer the walk-in shower version with continuous tiling.
I am now looking for steam generators and advice on installation. I have already found some information, but it seems that this topic is more common in Austria, as there are shops and products specializing in it there. Is that correct, or are there other reasons why it is not yet widespread in Germany?
The planning details so far are: sloped ceiling to prevent dripping, ventilation opening in the steam bath room, seating option, installation case with access for the steam generator, and with an estimated 7 kW output, it seems three-phase power is required, as well as hot water connection and drainage for the generator. The shower wall is planned in aerated concrete with sealing mats, and a stainless steel drain in the corner with appropriate system profiles.
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find more information about this?
