ᐅ Bertil Stuhl

Hello everyone,

I’m thinking about buying the Bertil chair a few times for 29.99. And I could use your advice!

I won’t be able to visit IKEA anytime soon, so I’m planning to order the chairs online… I don’t expect anything fancy for 30 euros, but I also don’t want to get back pain. Does anyone here have these chairs or could try sitting on one during their next IKEA visit? That would be great!

I’ve already tried sitting on it at Ikea. It feels better than you’d expect, especially for 30 euros. It’s not my favorite, but you have to like it yourself 😉

Yes, I have the BERTIL chairs. Four of them in the kitchen with the matching BJURSTA table in dark brown. However, I also bought a seat cushion (SIGRID) for each chair, and they are quite comfortable to sit on. The chair has a support beam at the back and one under the sit bones. For normal use, it is a very good value for the price. I have actually tried all of them. Still, you shouldn’t take my word as absolute— I always recommend that everyone test such things themselves!

That said, I can confidently recommend them to you.

I will order the chairs now. I think they look nice, Skyscraper—they are simply elegant, in my opinion.
@ Lukas: I’ll set up the chairs first and then look for the seat cushions, but thanks for the tip!
