SkyfireHello everyone,
I have a question regarding base plaster and moisture protection for plaster.
1.) Garage: In the garage area, a mineral waterproofing slurry was applied 30cm (12 inches) below the plaster, followed by a reinforced lime-cement plaster as the base coat. Before applying the topcoat plaster, is it necessary to apply an additional layer of waterproofing slurry or a similar product for moisture protection within the plaster? Or is the current setup sufficient? If yes, what would you recommend?
2.) House slab: For the perimeter insulation of the slab, XPS boards have been glued onto the slab so far. A fiber-reinforced base plaster is planned to be applied in one reinforced layer and then smoothed in a second layer. Is this arrangement acceptable and sufficient for moisture protection, or would you suggest a different method?
Thank you for your help!
