Hello everyone,
I’m new here and I hope you can help me.

I’m currently assembling a new METOD kitchen. So far, everything has worked great, but now I’m a bit stuck.
Here’s the problem: I have a small freestanding kitchen island consisting of two small cabinets (left and right) with a 60cm (24 inches) cabinet for the stove in the middle. I received Ringhult cover panels for this island. Attaching the panels to the sides is easy enough—you just screw them in from the inside. BUT: how do I attach the panels to the backs of these three cabinets? I can’t just fix the cover panels to the flimsy back walls—they are thin and bulky (I hope you know what I mean). Somehow I have a total blackout and can’t figure it out.
Can you help me? *lots of love*
Best regards

I don’t think you’re experiencing a blackout; I believe the side panels are not intended for the back wall. Without aids, such as small brackets, this is probably not feasible.

Exactly, you still need some craft material (metal brackets) from the hardware store and will probably have to cut the side panels to size (or have them cut).

Hm – that’s obviously not ideal! :/
Especially since I had the kitchen checked by Ikea beforehand (which I actually think is a great service).
Okay, I’ll try using brackets tomorrow – somehow we’ll manage to secure the parts.

Many thanks for your replies and all the best.
