Hello everyone,

I am currently considering integrating some furniture pieces from the IKEA Brimnes range into my bedroom and wonder if there are any IKEA Brimnes models that come with built-in lighting.

I am particularly interested in cabinets or beds from this series that are factory-equipped with lighting elements, such as LED strips, spotlights, or other lighting solutions.

I would also like to hear about experiences with such furniture regarding the functionality and quality of the lighting, as well as information about whether the lighting is sold separately or only available as an accessory.

Could someone clarify this or provide more detailed information?

As far as I know, there are no Brimnes furniture pieces with integrated lighting.

The series is quite simple and functional; I haven’t seen any illuminated versions.

I can also confirm that Brimnes furniture does not come with built-in lighting as standard.

However, IKEA often sells separate lighting solutions that can be added.

As a supplement: The Brimnes series includes furniture such as beds, dressers, and cabinets, designed with a clear and functional construction.

There are officially no models with factory-integrated lighting.

However, IKEA offers external lighting products that can be added modularly to Brimnes, such as LED strips or clip-on spotlights. Installation is usually done independently.

A fixed, built-in lighting solution within the furniture pieces is not known to me and is not mentioned in official product descriptions.

I have some Brimnes furniture and can only agree.

There is no built-in lighting as standard.

Of course, you can install your own lighting, but nothing comes as standard.

Interesting thread!

I was also looking for this because I wanted a bed with built-in lighting. I was disappointed that IKEA doesn’t offer this with the Brimnes.

For me, lighting integrated into furniture is very practical, especially for the bedroom, since you don’t have to turn on an additional light.

Maybe a collaboration with IKEA or a DIY solution?
