I recently purchased a Billy bookshelf and am facing the problem that the included instructions are not quite enough for me to assemble the shelf safely and correctly. My specific question is: Does IKEA or any other official source provide an assembly DVD or at least an official video tutorial specifically for the Billy bookshelf?

So far, I have only found amateur videos online, but no step-by-step video guide from IKEA or any other official provider.

Has anyone here had experience with this or knows about official help? If so, I would be very grateful for links or detailed information on how to obtain such materials.

The problem is actually that I understand the instructions, but I’m not completely confident about assembling the back panel and aligning the shelves. I’ve also seen some tutorials showing the best way to secure the shelves to prevent any leaning later on.

What I’m missing is a visual step-by-step guide, especially because I want to avoid the shelving unit becoming wobbly or unstable — and the back panel needs to be fitted properly since it plays a major role in stability.

I’ve also heard from some people that the Billy shelving unit can warp if assembled too quickly, which I definitely want to avoid.

If anyone has more detailed tips or even a link to a fairly official video, I would really appreciate it. It doesn’t have to be a DVD, an official or professional video tutorial would be enough.
