From your experience, which type of LED lighting works best with the PLATSA shelves if you value even illumination, easy installation, and flexible use?

I am also interested in whether you have experience with specific color rendering indexes (CRI) that are particularly good for displaying books and decorative items.

Do you have any recommendations for LED strips, modules, or other types of lighting that integrate well with the modular design of PLATSA, including tips on power supply and control?

I would recommend LED strips with 3000K, as warm white usually looks best.

Preferably self-adhesive ones with 12V, which are easy to install and relatively discreet.

Power supply is often found inside the cabinet or via external power adapters.

When selecting suitable LEDs for the Ikea PLATSA system, it is important to first consider the light quality (color temperature and CRI) as well as ease of installation.

- Color temperature: 2700-3500K is recommended for living spaces because it creates a warm, comfortable atmosphere.
- CRI: Values above 90 ensure natural color rendering, which is important for books and decorations.
- Installation: Flexible LED strips with adhesive backing are ideal since they can be easily cut to size and adhere well to the slim shelf profiles.
- Power supply: 12V systems are common, safe, and compatible with many power adapters and dimmers.
