Dear house building experts,

Our architect is definitely experienced, but when it comes to our design questions, they are not very up-to-date (retiring soon). As a woman, a modern design and a nice color scheme for our new house are especially important to me. It is a single-sloped roof house with an integrated double garage on a sloping site (therefore three stories, so color contrasts might be useful).

For the facade, we are thinking of one or two colors in a modern gray-beige-brown range. The roof tiles should not be too wavy (flat roof tiles?), and the color should match.

If someone could send us a suggestion that we then use, I would like to send a gift to the idea provider (a book voucher or a specialty from the Black Forest). Many thanks, yours, Tina

Who doesn’t like Black Forest ham... except: the views are completely missing 😉

Hello building expert,
I would have done that if it weren’t so boring… As mentioned, it’s a three-story shed roof house (square, practical, efficient) without any additions. The terrace and basement, which houses a double garage, are built into the slope. We need to make design and color decisions by Monday and had hoped to find valuable ideas here. Too bad…
Still, greetings from the beautiful Black Forest,
Tina

P.S. Lesson learned: building under time pressure… is not a good idea!

Hello

You have some unusual requests regarding how we should help you.
Are you really expecting us to provide brightly painted squares?
Your house surely has windows and doors, specific dimensions, roof overhangs...
With a request for colored cubes, no one here can really offer valuable advice on building design.
