does anyone have any ideas on how the upper floor could be designed?

How should we know that? You need to provide more details, such as the number of children's bedrooms, etc.

It definitely seems to have an attic and is located in Weiden:

I understand that no one can know for sure. But maybe there are only one or two reasonable ways to arrange rooms on the upper floor.
I assume the upper floor has only two rooms since there are no windows in the middle of the semi-detached houses.

Upper floor: 2 children's bedrooms and a bathroom, attic: master bedroom and bathroom, and there will also be a basement.

And how are the rooms connected? The corridor would have to run along the wall next to the stairs. How is the issue solved that there are no windows between the two halves? There is only light from the north and south.
