Hello,

I would appreciate it if people with floor-to-ceiling windows (fixed pane at the bottom) could share how you have dressed your windows from the inside. Do you use only internal venetian blinds and/or curtains or sliding panels, or something else?

Thank you!

1x in the children's room, where curtains hang halfway down, as requested
1x in the master bedroom at the top, where a full-length blackout curtain will be installed – which will probably mostly hang next to the window for decorative purposes

@Müllerin

So, does that mean the curtains go up to the fixed element, and then the fixed element is uncovered, or is the fixed element made of frosted glass anyway?

The bottom of the child’s window is currently unobstructed, with no frosted glass, as she enjoys looking outside. As she gets older and goes through puberty, she will probably prefer longer curtains.

We used to have sliding panel curtains from IKEA but have since switched to regular curtains, as most of IKEA’s are not washable. An advantage is that IKEA offers 3m long curtains (about 10 feet), whereas other stores usually only have 245cm (about 8 feet) lengths.
