This is the meter in our apartment. That’s not the meter; that’s the cabinet with your circuit breakers.
The only option:
- turn everything off at your place
- switch off all the circuit breakers
- find the meter (it should then be standing still)
- turn on the light in the basement
But it seems like you’re already having quite a lot of fun with your apartment – is that right?

Operate the circuit breakers from top to bottom. This requires planning because of the fridge/freezer combination, etc.
Switch all 8 breakers?
