Hello, we are having a turnkey house built with a developer. The heating system was specified in detail in the contract. During construction, it became clear that the system was oversized. We insisted on a heat loss calculation, which was also included in the construction specification, but the heating installer initially wanted to size the system based on experience. After the heat loss calculation, a significantly smaller system was installed, with fewer heating circuits and less piping.
Can we claim a credit? The heating installer only wants to credit us €60 per saved manifold. The saved material costs alone amount to around €2000 gross. Maybe someone knows more about this, thanks.

We are building a KfW40 house, but the heating system was designed based on "how we have always done it." However, I cannot equip a house with such insulation with a heating system that would be suitable for a KfW70 or "normally" insulated house. And we know this because everything was listed in detail in the contract, and now something different and cheaper has been installed.

For example
Your Bosch air-to-water heat pump package
consisting of:
• BOSCH monoblock outdoor unit AW 7 OR-S, series CS5800/6800i AW, 800 x 1100 x 550 mm (31.5 x 43.3 x 21.7 inches)
• BOSCH air-to-water heat pump Compress, CS6800AW 12 indoor unit, wall-mounted
etc.
It has now become smaller and more affordable.

He wants to pass that on to the heating contractor…Well, there is probably no contract between the heating contractor and you. Therefore, it would be a goodwill gesture if the heating contractor pays you anything. Whether you have a claim against the general contractor depends on your contract. Since you opted for a simplified heating system, it does not necessarily mean that the reduced costs will be refunded to you. Typically, this results in additional profit for the general contractor.Similar topics
