Hello everyone,
I am planning my floor plan with SweetHome 3D and am having some issues with the attic. Do I really have to adjust the slope of each wall individually? Or is there a trick to it? I found the roof, but in my case, every wall extends beyond the roof at the top.
Thank you very much if someone can help me here.

That probably looks strange, but just “imagine it away.”
Unfortunately, I can’t give you any tips on operating SH3D. However, I can offer advice regarding walls in the attic in general, or floor plan design—in particular, planning “from top to bottom,” because due to the more complex structure of upper floors/attics, issues arise not only during drawing if you start with the ground floor. Using lightweight partition walls as much as possible helps a lot in easing this, which applies both to upper floors and attics.

I had given up on that back then and simply drew lines marking the respective clear ceiling heights along the slope—2m (6 ft 7 in), 1.5m (4 ft 11 in), 1.0m (3 ft 3 in), down to the knee wall. This was intended purely as a 2D floor plan top view.

Yes, I have used it for now to create the floor plan, but an exterior view is only possible if I hide the upper floor; otherwise, everything overlaps.

And you can't ignore the walls that penetrate the roof in your mind?

You can change the height of an entire wall under the roof. Just experiment a little. You can also create sloped walls by entering the start and end heights. Sometimes you need to split a wall and edit it. You can select multiple walls if needed and enter uniform values. SH3D can do all of this. Double-clicking on furniture or a wall always opens the edit menu. In the beginning, you need to try a lot or watch a tutorial video.
