ᐅ Looking for window trim... seeking advice, please.

Hello home builders,

We ordered large interior windows in gray, but they were mistakenly delivered in white, which we were actually quite happy about—a silver lining.

The problem now is that the window installer used a gray trim strip as a finishing extension. Additionally, it was installed very poorly, so I am completely dissatisfied with it.

My question is: I am now looking for a trim strip about 10–11 cm (4–4.3 inches) wide and approximately 30 meters (98 feet) in length in white color. The plasterer has not finished yet and would nicely plaster the sides.

What options do I have? What kind of trim would you recommend? I would really appreciate your help.

I’m not sure what a terribly installed trim extension is, but the window appearance should match the strips. If the window installer messed up the color, it’s their responsibility to fix it properly. So, if I were you, I would contact them and ask for a proper correction. Trim elements should blend in discreetly.

I see a quick snapshot, which presumably shows the left jamb of a patio door that, for some reason, is covered with a dark film. The effect is somewhat like the Dr. Zhivago sketch by Didi Hallervorden — in any case, not at all enough for me, as a former window manufacturer, to even guess what the actual issue might be or how to fix it.
